AEOCheck runs 46 checks on every scan. Each one tells you what it looks for, why it matters, and how to fix it. These are technical readiness checks. They do not guarantee rankings or AI citations.
- Bots see an empty page
- Your text is loaded by JavaScript. Most AI bots do not run JavaScript, so they cannot read or quote your site. Fix: Make the server send the text: pre-render pages (static export) or use Next.js. Give each page its own title and heading.
- Your firewall blocks bots
- A security check stopped our scanner. It can stop search and AI bots too. Fix: Allow trusted bots in your firewall or Cloudflare settings, then scan again.
- Some AI bots are blocked
- Blocked AI bots cannot read your site, so they cannot quote it. Fix: Allow AI bots in robots.txt if you want AI answers to mention you.
- Homepage is blocked for search bots
- Your site rules tell bots to stay away. Fix: Edit robots.txt to allow the homepage.
- This address is blocked for bots
- Your site rules tell bots to stay away. Fix: Edit robots.txt if this page should be found.
- Site rules file could not be read
- Bots may not know what they are allowed to read. Fix: Make sure /robots.txt loads normally.
- No page list (sitemap) found
- A sitemap helps Google find all your pages. Fix: Add a sitemap.xml and mention it in robots.txt.
- Page is hidden from Google
- This page will not appear in search results. Fix: Remove "noindex" if you want it to be found.
- Page gives Google mixed instructions
- It says both "show me" and "do not show me". Fix: Keep only the instruction you really want.
- Homepage could not be opened
- If the homepage fails, the whole site looks down. Fix: Make sure the homepage loads for everyone, then scan again.
- No pages could be checked
- The scan could not read your site. Fix: Make sure the site is public, then scan again.
- Page has no title
- The title is the headline people see in Google and AI answers. Fix: Give every page a short, clear title.
- Page title is too long
- Long titles get cut off in search results. Fix: Shorten the title to about 60 characters.
- Page has no short summary
- The summary tells people and search engines what the page is about. Fix: Add a one or two sentence summary (meta description).
- Several pages share the same title
- Search engines and AI cannot tell these pages apart. Fix: Give every page its own title that says what that page is about.
- Several pages share the same summary
- Search results look identical for different pages. Fix: Write a different short summary for each page.
- Page does not name its main address
- Search engines may treat copies of the page as different pages. Fix: Add a canonical tag with the page address.
- Main address tag is broken
- Search engines cannot use it. Fix: Use a full address like https://yoursite.com/page.
- Page names its main address twice
- Search engines may pick the wrong one. Fix: Keep one canonical tag per page.
- Page language is not set
- Browsers and AI cannot be sure which language the page uses. Fix: Set the page language, for example "en".
- Page language looks wrong
- The language code is not valid. Fix: Use a valid code such as "en" or "ur".
- Page has no main heading
- A main heading tells visitors and AI what the page is about. Fix: Add one clear main heading (H1) at the top of the page.
- Page has more than one main heading
- Two main headings make the topic unclear. Fix: Keep one main heading (H1). Make the others smaller headings.
- Headings are not in order
- The page jumps from a main heading to a small one, which makes it harder to follow. Fix: Use headings in order: big, then medium, then small. Change the look with design, not heading size.
- Page has very little text
- AI and search engines need words to understand and quote your page. Fix: Add useful text. Also check that the text shows without JavaScript (View Page Source).
- Long text with no sub-headings
- Big blocks of text are hard to read and hard for AI to pick answers from. Fix: Split the text into sections, each with its own heading.
- Two pages have the same text
- Search engines get confused about which page to show. Fix: Rewrite one page, or merge them into one.
- Main area of the page is not marked
- It helps screen readers and AI find the real content. Fix: Wrap the main content in a <main> tag.
- Some links lead to broken pages
- Visitors and search engines hit dead ends. Fix: Fix or remove the broken links.
- Page shows an error
- Visitors and search engines cannot open this page. Fix: Fix the page, or remove links to it if it should not exist.
- A page could not be loaded
- The page was too slow or refused the check. Fix: Open the page yourself and make sure it loads quickly.
- Page address redirects
- Visitors are sent to another address, which adds a small delay. Fix: Link directly to the final address.

- Redirects slow pages down a little. Fix: Update those links to the final address.
- Page sends visitors to another website
- The page is not on your own domain. Fix: Check this redirect is intended.
- Page has no links to other pages
- Search engines find your pages by following links. Fix: Link to your other important pages.
- Some links have no name
- Screen readers and search engines cannot tell where they go. Fix: Give every link a visible name or label.
- Page was slow to respond
- Slow pages lose visitors and may be crawled less. Fix: Speed up your hosting, or reduce what the page loads.
- Page may not fit phone screens
- Most visitors use phones. Fix: Add the mobile viewport setting to the page.
- Phone screen setting looks wrong
- The page may zoom or scroll badly on phones. Fix: Use width=device-width, initial-scale=1.
- Page loads some files over an unsafe link
- Browsers may block them or show a warning. Fix: Change http:// links to https://.
- Images have no description
- People using screen readers, and search engines, cannot understand them. Fix: Add a short description (alt text) to important images.
